So, all the summer fun in most definately over and school is now in full swing!  I'm half way through my 2nd full week.  It's going pretty well.  Our numbers are really low, so, I only have 13 little munchkins as opposed to the 19 I had last year.  And when you're talking 5 year olds that makes a huge and wonderful difference!  It's strange though, I really miss my kids from last year.  I see them walking down the hall and I have a really hard time not stopping to talk to them.  I guess since they were my first class, they'll always hold a special place in my heart!  Well, since I have to get up at 5:30 again I am back in old lady going to bed early mode, so I must go!  Let me know how all of you are doing!

Everyday is Saturday!

Well...I must say I am absolutely thrilled that the Lord called me to be a teacher!  This summer stuff is so amazing!  I kind of forget sometimes that not everyone has these 2 months of vacation because most of my friends are teachers and my husband works from home!....which I am so glad of!  I kind of thought we might get cabin fever being together all day long everyday!  But I can see now that the Lord had these several weeks of being at home and business being slow to really restore and rejuvenate our relationship!  Going through the miscarriage earlier in the year put a damper on the whole experience of being carefree, young and newly married!  Well.....we're making up for lost time!  It is such a wonderful feeling to be committed for a life time to a person that is your best friend, so fun to be around...oh yes, and he is way good looking!  Hope everyone is enjoying their summer as much as the Davis' are....even if you are working!

Well, it is mighty nice to FINALLY be home and to know we are going to stay here for a while!  We just got back last night from a week long run around the south eastern United states.  We drove over 2,000 miles in a period of 8 days!  That is A LOT of close time in the car.  Two of my friends got married, one in Florida last weekend (the beaches of Destin were involved, I am not complaining!) and this past weekend Erin Lama got married in Northern (very northern) Virginia.  I was a bridesmaid in both of the weddings, and they were both very beautiful.  And it's always good to see friends you haven't seen in a while......also, yesterday was our 1 year anniversary!  YEAH!  We made it through a year full of many ups and many many downs and have come to the end undoubtedly loving each other even more!  Isn't that amazing!  Jay gave me a beautiful cherry wooden jewelry chest with a BEAUTIFUL strand of pearls and matching earrings.  It was such a perfect gift!  He's also taking me somewhere "fancy" for the night, but we're going to wait until next week so we can actually enjoy the get away!

This is the season of weddings and a lot of you reading this may be preparing for your own, so from my very small and limited experience let me give you some advice......expect the unexpected, and when it comes expect to fall in love more deeply and more true than you have ever been in love before.
